A number or numbers in the upper right corner of LightJar, next to the user name, are an indication that an unread message or messages are in the Message Center. Click on the user name, and select Message Center from the drop-down menu. Messages can come from LightJar administration about the status of your subscription, or from other users wanting to share a file or collection of files. After reading the message, or accepting a file from another user, the message can be marked as being read. Once all messages are marked as read, the number disappears in the upper right corner.
